Does your community have a Walkabout Committee? No – this is not a group of people wandering the Australian bush. It is an informal group taking periodic walks through the building and compiling a list of things that need to be done.
Owners view their home differently than condo management and building employees. A Walkabout Committee provides an owner perspective on their home, including quality and lifestyle expectations, which may differ from that of professional management and employees. Owners may identify minor repairs and maintenance tasks, aesthetic improvements and areas in need of cleaning that have been missed by others.
The goal is to maintain or improve the look and well-being of the building and outdoor areas for the utmost enjoyment of residents.
