Return of the Milkman – Digital shopping for food , published by Toronto Condo News in 2019, was about the early growth in online food shopping delivered to the home. Today that process has been refined.
Loop has teamed up with Loblaws and consumer goods companies like Kraft Heinz to offer a socially responsible service.
Products usually purchased in single-use containers will be available in refillable containers made of glass or metal, and delivered in reusable totes. Products are ordered online and delivered to your doorstep. Empty containers are placed in the Loop tote to be picked up, sanitized, refilled and reused.
Also available in the U.S., France and the U.K., the service seeks to reduce single-use plastics and waste.
