Noise is a part of city living.
Outside there is traffic, construction and everyday activities which can be heard throughout the day.
Condo living adds to all of this. Sounds from neighbouring suites are common in the form of drilling, banging, appliances such as vacuum cleaners and yelling. Some of these sounds can travel in large buildings because of the way they are constructed. Also, large concrete spaces and windows can help noise to spread farther.
Noise can be muffled by adding drapes, carpets and fabric wall covering.

Noise in the home can be measured using one of many available smartphone apps. Hand held noise meters can be purchased through local stores or online.
