Ghost Hotels are high-rise condo buildings with a large concentration of short-term rental listings. These are condo buildings promoted on Airbnb and similar sites as offering hotel-like accommodation.
According to Inside Airbnb 16% of Toronto’s Airbnb rentals are on the waterfront. Over 80% of these listings are for the entire suite rather than a spare room.
