Changing technology has created conflict in condo communities between those who prefer cable as opposed to Internet and Netflix.
In condo corporations where cable is included in condo fees, owners cannot request a reduction in common expense fees. In these buildings cable is a common expense much like an exercise room. The cost is shared among all owners based on their percentage of common expenses.
Use of common areas by individual owners is not relevant when determining allocation of common area expenses.
