Toronto is Canada’s largest city and largest condo population.
In 2011 Toronto had a condo population of 978,125, out of a total population of 2.6 million, according to data available from Statistics Canada. This represented 37.6% of the entire city population. By 2015 this had increased to 53% or 1.378 million people. In 2016 this had increased to 54.7% or 1.478 million people.
Toronto is a city currently growing by about 100,000 people a year with no increase in single family or rental housing. The entirely of this population growth is supported by Toronto’s growing condo community.
