Post retirement, some seniors struggle with finding a purpose. Others may simply struggle and require assistance with daily activities.
Seniors for Seniors assists seniors with either challenge. The company provides home care services through mature “companions” close in age to their clients. They assist seniors in living happier and more independent lives.
The company’s “companions” assist with preparing meals, light house cleaning and driving clients to doctors’ appointments. “Companions” will sit and chat or help with everyday activities.
“Companions” are employees with life experience, often having provided care to family members. They are compassionate and flexible. For those employed as “companions” the company provides a way to remain active and supplement one’s income.
When Doreen retired she discovered Seniors for Seniors. The company provided employment which allowed her to help others. Doreen was able to combine her love for caregiving with her passion for people. Doreen remained engaged in the community by providing homemaking and companionship services to the elderly while supplementing her pension. Along the way she developed friendships with her clients and their families.

Phyllis has been a Seniors for Seniors “companion” for over 10 years. She recalls one woman who suffered with Alzheimer’s and loved knitting. Phyllis also enjoyed knitting and was excited to share this passion with her client. “I would bring my knitting and sit and chat with her. While she couldn’t knit herself she liked watching me knit and would help me untangle the balls of yarn.”
Seniors for Seniors offers a range of home care services which include drop-in caregivers, live-in caregivers, drivers and home cleaners.
