During the colder months many condo residents keep windows closed to conserve heat.
This prevents moisture from escaping from your unit. This internal moisture comes from normal activities such as breathing, cooking and showering.
Trapped moisture raises the level of humidity in your condo. Higher humidity can result in stale air, mould and damage to surfaces near windows where the temperature change is greatest.
It is best to periodically open one or more windows, just a little, to let the moisture escape your unit.
