Whole Foods Market Now Open

October 2014

With last week’s opening of Whole Foods Market in the Hullmark Centre, the Yonge North Corridor finally has a major supermarket servicing the southern part of the community.

Judging from the hundreds who attended the store’s opening event and the hundreds more who entered the store within minutes of opening, there are many who have been waiting for Whole Foods Market to arrive in the Yonge North Corridor.

Whole Foods Market is unlike other supermarkets. It specializes in organic and natural foods. Each area of the store is designed to feel like a boutique allowing customers a more intimate and inviting shopping experience. Store offerings include restaurant-quality prepared foods and the convenience of one-stop shopping.

Whole Foods Market employees differ from those of other supermarkets. From applauding as the first customers entered the store to their broad smiles, willingness to assist and conversational tone, it is clear that the company demands a higher level of customer service.

Whole Foods Market started in 1980 and now operates nearly 400 locations throughout Canada, the USA and the UK.

Whole Foods Market at Yonge and Sheppard offers:

  • Restaurant and Grill
  • Stir-Fry Station
  • Salad and Hot Bars
  • Panini and Pizza Venues
  • Grab and Go Freshly Baked Pastries
  • Homemade Gelato Bar
