Many have written about the incompatibility of condos and families. Triomphe shows that families will gravitate to condos which include access to appropriate amenities. Furthermore, Triomphe successfully balances the needs of adults, single and married, and families.
Triomphe is a two building condominium complex comprised of nearly 700 units. This complex is full of surprising features for those who live an active lifestyle, or who prefer to socialize and/or relax. Most condo units range in size from 510 to 1200 square feet with some in excess of 2000 square feet. Given that the average size for a unit is under 1,000 square feet, one might be forgiven for assuming that residents of Triomphe are all young and single.
Triomphe is a youthful community where the average age is about 40 years old. This community includes young families and approximately 200 children. Less than 10% of residents are over 65 years of age.
Most Triomphe units have a balcony. Some of the upper level units have a fireplace and BBQ connection. The Triomphe community includes nearly 40 retail establishments including Asian and Middle Eastern restaurants, beauty salon, travel agency, health care services, pharmacy and convenience store.
Central to life at Triomphe is Club Triomphe. This is an extensive recreation, fitness and social centre that bridges the two buildings and includes outdoor space.
Club Triomphe offers what have become standard amenities in many condo buildings such as an exercise room, indoor swimming pool, Party Room with kitchen and bar, recreation and card rooms, and guest suites.
More specialized indoor facilities at Club Triomphe include a three lane bowling centre, table tennis, billiards, foosball, library and Games Room. There is an Internet Centre and Study Room. For golfers there is a Virtual Golf Centre which includes a reality golf simulator and driving cages.
Club Triomphe also includes a private park situated on the roof of the neighbouring Metro supermarket. This park includes a rooftop garden, gazebo, BBQs, tennis courts, jogging track, walking path, and putting area.
Club Triomphe has an on-site trainer. It offers popular Aquafit, Yoga, Insanity and Zumba classes. Insanity classes are particularly popular and offered five times a week. Children’s programs include weekly Kids Board Game Night and Toddler Night. There are also seasonal Halloween and Christmas events. For adults there is a weekly Movie Night and Bridge Club.
At Triomphe there is a good relationship between staff and residents. Triomphe has taken the unusual step of managing security in-house rather than contracting to a third party provider. Reasons for this include lower staff turnover and more control over performance by Board and management. Other benefits of this arrangement are a closer relationship, by security staff, with residents and cost savings.
Triomphe is a community attractive to both adults and families with children. Its’ Club Triomphe makes it easy for residents to socialize and remain active. With many eateries, supermarket, schools and medical services within walking distance, Triomphe is a complete community.
