Many newly elected board members, however enthusiastic and caring they may be at the beginning of their mandates, underestimate the scope of their responsibilities and the amount of time needed to diligently govern and run the condominium complex. Over time, they tire out, and their original enthusiasm wanes. They receive very little in return for the time they spend working for others, sometimes not even a simple thank-you, whereas they are the first to receive blame for anything that may go wrong with the complex. Their original commitment often degenerates into indifference and lack of involvement.
