Renter Running for the Board

Unit ownership is a requirement to vote for directors. No such requirement exists for becoming a director unless stated in corporation by-laws.

It is in the best interest of condo owners to vote for directors based on experience and qualifications rather than ownership status. This is the best way to ensure your corporation is being run in the best way possible and to make the best use of your condo fees.

Once elected, all directors have equal voting rights.
