Some condo corporations have enacted by laws allowing them to charge administrative fees or penalties.
According to at least one judge that presides over condo matters, administrative fees or fines are viewed as “improper“ and “has the potential to operate as an arbitrary weapon.”
The Condo Act does not empower a condo corporation to charge administrative fees or impose financial penalties on condo owners.
